10 Albums That Made Me

There’s a challenge going round at the minute and I decided I’d take some inspiration from it for today’s post. You get nominated and then for the next ten days you need to share an image of an album that means something to you and nominate someone else. No explanation. For here though I am going to give a brief explanation on each one.

I’ve tried to limit it to one album per artist as well, I could easily have done five Streets albums.

So Solid Crew – So Solid

To kick things off it’s one of the first albums I ever brought. I got this from HMV at the Fort one day when I was off school sick, that’s how much I remember about this album so it needed to be included and at the beginning too.

Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory

An absolute masterpiece from my youth! I don’t think this one left my CD player for weeks at a time.

Eminem – Infinite

Before he was picked up by Dr Dre Eminem was selling his first album from the boot of his car and failing miserably. Personally this is one of my all time favourite Eminem albums.

Afroman – Because I Got High

I love this album and again there’s a story behind it. Back in the day when Tapes were a thing a mate at school did me a copy of this album on one side and Eminem’s Slim Shady on the other side.

Oasis – Definitely Maybe

This is surely an album that impacted everyone’s life, irrespective of if you had it or not. The sensational debut from one of the UK’s biggest bands ever.

50 Cent – Get Rich Or Die Tryin’

In the 00’s if you didn’t have this album, I don’t know what you were doing!

Ocean Colour Scene – Anthology

Although I knew one or two songs, this album was my first real introduction to the legendary Brummies known as Ocean Colour Scene.

The Twang – Love It When I Feel Like This

This album meant loads to me, it got me through breaking up with my sons mother a few years ago (Along with some Arctic Monkeys that didn’t make the cut) late as I was to the party.

The Kinks – Kinks

The Kinks not only impacted my life but Rock and Roll as a whole!

The Streets – Original Pirate Material

Easily one of the greatest albums of all time, as I say I could have used all The Streets albums but I decided to go for just one and their debut album is amazing!

So there we have it, ten albums that made me!
