Blues Still Doing Bits Off The Pitch

The summer of signings may not be finished just yet as Blues find themselves linked with Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato! They also confirmed the appointment of Wales International Goalkeeping Coach Tony Roberts.

The Alexandre Pato link is very exciting in my opinion. I also fear its highly unlikely but it seems with Blues anything is possible, you never know what’s going to happen.

As a free agent Pato is likely to be linked with several clubs, especially those in need of goals like Blues, so I’d definitely take it with a pinch of salt. It would be brilliant business for Blues and continue their trend of bringing in quality without having to throw loads of money at it.

The former Brazil and AC Milan forward will bring a quality up front that perhaps we’re lacking at the minute. He’s also got a solid scoring record bagging 10 International goals in 27 appearances as well as 51 goals from 117 appearances for AC Milan.

The news does come as Karanka has said he’s not actively looking for transfers so I do wonder if this is an agent trying to rumble up interest in the UK or signs that Dong is looking to intervene.

The appointment of Tony Roberts as Goalkeeper Coach means that Scott Bevan will go back to managing the U23 Keepers. Having international experience is a bonus although I don’t particularly think our issue is (or will be) between the sticks!

Blues are in action tonight too and I’m hoping for a win. If we can get firing again who knows, maybe we won’t need Pato?
